Beautiful Present from USA

Some time has passed, since we received from far away America calendar for year 2016 of the American Coton Club. However, we enjoy it every day and it prodly hangs in our living room. Along with the calendar was packed a small booklet with names of all pictured cotons. Our "Slovak" Bastien had a very proud place on the title biggest picture of the calendar. If we manage to take some nice new pictures this year, we will surely sent them to the calendar creators again. However, they greatly inspired us to make our own calendar with the pictures of own cotons - we shall see if we manage to pull this off at the end of the year.

Už je to nejaký piatok, čo nám až z ďalekej Ameriky dorazil kalendár Amerického Coton Klubu pre rok 2016. Robí nám však radosť každý deň a má svoje hrdé miesto na stene v obývačke. Spolu s kalendárom bola pribalená knížočka s menami všetkých uvedených cotonkov. Naš "slovák" Bastien mal veľmi hrdé miesto na titulnej najväčšej fotke kalendára. Ak sa nám aj tento rok podarí urobiť pár pekných záberov, určite ich pošleme tvorcom. Inšpirovali nás však veľmi k vytvoreniu si kalendára s vlastnými cotonkami - uvidíme, či sa nám ho podarí koncom roka pripraviť.

Best PF Competition 2016

Every year, we look forward making our own X-mas and PF postcard that we sent to our friends. This year by coincidence, there was again Cotonland competition for best X-mas a PF card. In the competition of 44 poscards our picture with Bastien ended on beautiful SECOND PLACE and what's more the overall victory we supposedly lost only by a "breast size" :).  Independent jury (this time composed of 19 members) seems to pick a different style of card each year, so we are happy that they liked ours third year in a row :).

Každoročne sa tešíme na prípravu našej Vianočnej a PF pohľadnice, ktoré obe posielame našim priateľom a známym. Ani tento rok zhodou okolností nechýbala na Cotonlande súťaž o najlepšie vianočné a PF prianie. V konkurencii 44 pohľadníc sa naša fotka s Bastienom umiestnila na nádhernom DRUHOM MIESTE a čo viac celkové víťazstvo nám vraj doslova uniklo o prsia :). Nezávislá porota (tentokrát 19 členná) sa zdá vždy vyberá prianíčka z trošičku iného súdku a tak máme radosť, že sa tie naše páčili už tretí rok v poradí :).

Show Recap 2015

We bring our usual recap of the previous show season.

In year 2015, we went to 8 shows in Czech Republic and Slovakia. As we planned in the beginning of the year, we really limited our show attendance in 2015 compared to the previous years. Bastien was shown on all eight shows. Giulietta only on the first and in the same time last one.

BASTIEN WINTER GARDEN

Bastien attended 7 shows in the veteran class and 1 show in the champion class. On all shows, he was the best veteran in breed, altought the title of BOB Veteran was offically given only in Czech Republic. In the veteran class, Bastien got 7x Exc.1, 3x Special Show Winner, 3x BOB Veteran, 2x BOS, and 4x BOB. He was successful also in the afternoon competitions, where get got placed 5 times: as 3.Best in Show, 3x Best in Show Veteran, and together with Giulietta he became Best in Show Couple. He finished three championships: Czech Veteran Champion, Slovak Veteran Champion of Beauty, and Slovak Club Veteran Champion of Beauty. Two are already official, but we can pick up the club diploma only this year. Moreover, in the Cotonland competion open for cotons of the Czech, Slovak, and Polish owners and where the points are collected from Czech and Slovak shows, Bastien became the Best Veteran of the year 2015 and also the overall winner - the Best Coton of the year 2015. Is is our third win in the row - The Best Coton of the year 2014 and 2013 was our Giulietta. Though, we are extra happy, as it is the first time that the veteran wins the overall first place.

GIULIETTA DES JARDINS DE GOSSYPIUM

Giullie was shown only once and she got titles CC, Special Show Winner, and BOB. This way she finished her sixteenth championship of Slovak Club Grand Champion of Beauty.

Thank you all who were cheering for us and keeping fingers crossed. We do not plan any further shows with Bastien or Giulietta.

Prinášame násu každoročnú rekapituláciu predošlej výstavnej sezóny:

V roku 2015 sme sa zúčastnili 8 výstav na Slovensku a v Čechách. Výrazne sme tým už obmedzili naše výstavné aktivity oproti minulým rokom ako sme na začiatku roku 2015 plánovali. Všetkých osem výstav absolvoval náš Bastien. Giulietta sa zúčastnila len prvej a zároveň poslednej.

BASTIEN WINTER GARDEN

7 výstav sa zúčastnil v triede veteránov a 1 krát v triede šampiónov. Na všetkých výstavách v triede veteránov bol najlepší veterán v plemene aj keď titul BOB Veterán bol oficiálne zadávaný len v Čechách. Z triedy veteránov si odniesol ocenenia 7x V1, 3x Víťaz Špeciálnej Výstavy, 3x BOB Veterán, 2x BOS a 4x BOB. Darilo sa mu aj v záverečných súťažiach, kde sa umiestnil hneď 5 krát: ako 3.BIS (tretí najlepší pes celej výstavy), 3x BIS Veterán (najlepší veterán celej výstavy) a spolu s Giuliettou sa stal BIS párom (najkrajším párom celej výstavy). V triede šampiónov získal v skoro deviatich rokoch tituly CAC, CACIB a BOB. Dokončil tri šampionáty: Český Veterán Šampión, Slovenský Veterán Šampión Krásy a Slovenský Klubový Veterán Šampión Krásy. Dve z nich sú už oficiálne, len klubový diplom si môžeme prebrať až tento rok. A nakoniec  sa v Cotonlandej súťaži otvorenej pre cotonkov čekých, slovenských a poľských majiteľov a kde sa rátajú body zo českých a slovenských výstav stal Najkrajším Veteránom roka 2015 a zároveň aj celkovým víťazom súťaže čiže Najkrajším Cotonom roka 2015. Je to pre nás tretia výhra v poradí - Najkrajším Cotonom roka 2014 a 2013 bola naša Giulietta. Máme však extra radosť pretože je to prvý krát kedy sa na titulnej priečke podarilo umiesniť veteránovi.

GIULIETTA DES JARDINS DE GOSSYPIUM

Giulllie sa zúčastnila jedinej výstavy, kde získala tituly CC, Víťaz Špeciálnej Výstavy a BOB. Týmto výsledom dokončila tak svoj šestnásty šampionát Slovenského Klubového Grand Šampióna Krásy.

Ďakujeme všetkým, ktorí nás podporovali a držali nám palce. Ďalšie výstavy s Bastienom ani Giuliettou neplánujeme.
